One of the best parts of being stationed in the KMC is the sheer number of family-friendly activities within easy reach. Whether it is a rainy November afternoon or a sunny July weekend, there is always something fun to do with the kids. Here are our top picks that KMC families love.
For outdoor adventures, the Japanischer Garten (Japanese Garden) in Kaiserslautern is a hidden gem. It is the largest Japanese garden in Europe and features koi ponds, waterfalls, tea houses, and beautiful landscaped paths that kids love to explore. Entry is affordable and it is a peaceful place for the whole family. The Wildpark Betzenberg is a free wildlife park on the edge of Kaiserslautern where you can see deer, wild boar, and other native animals on easy walking trails.
